Silk Care Instructions
For best results, we recommend machine-washing in a mesh laundry bag on a cold, delicate cycle with our Amber Waves silk wash. (Most commercially available detergents contain enzymes and optic brighteners which can damage silk). Do not use hot water and do not put in the dryer. It is normal to see a small amount of color release when washing, especially with highly saturated colors. Rinse well.
After washing and while still damp, press with an iron on medium heat (or use the silk setting) to smooth and release wrinkles. If you hang or lay flat to dry, you will notice your silk is not as smooth. This is because the silk fibers simply need to relax. If you do not wish to iron your silk, simply use it as normal and it will smooth and relax with use.
